I�ve begun new habits that have really helped to make life seem less hectic. Whether it�s making daily list of small things to do around the house or making all our meals for the week on Sunday , it just helps to keep me feeling balanced and like I�m staying on top of things and on myself. I don't handle being overwhelmed very well, so I try to do anything I can to help alleviate that. I�ve even begun to put simple things on my list like, put on a face mask, to remind myself to take a few minutes to do something good and relaxing for myself. I'm aware that it's silly but I've noticed that if it's on the list, I actually take the time to do it. I find that the more I do simple things I love on a daily basis, the less on edge I feel. Spring made an appearance!

Guys, we finally got spring like weather (80s!!!) and we made sure to take advantage of it. Good thing too because we are back in the 40s & 50s this week. Not nice spring, not nice. We first enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the deck and then went to the gym for a workout. We had big plans to work on our front and back yards after the gym as Mr. Sean did not rake up the leaves last fall. Since it was going to be such a nice day, I decided that I'd help him, ha. I know how that sounds but I love informing everyone that I�m responsible for the inside cleaning & he�s responsible for the outside cleaning, also known as, raking, mowing, shoveling, etc. Anyway, regardless of how much work it was, it was actually very enjoyable & I believe our workouts earlier in the day helped to give us the energy we needed to work several hours in the front and back yards. New Orleans: Day 1

When we told several people that we would be visiting New Orleans in August everyone said that we chose the worst month to visit as it was the hottest month of the year. Well, they were right. It was hot, humid and rainy and despite that I still loved every moment of our time in New Orleans. When we reached our hotel we were a little disappointed to find that our room was not ready but the front desk called concierge to take our luggage while we waited. If anything, the lobby was such eye candy so I didn't mind waiting and immediately dug my camera out of my bag and began to take pictures. We stayed at Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the French Quarter. When we realized our wait would be more than 15 minutes, we decided to walk outside just to explore for a little while.
