My goals for 2018

I know by now everyone might be sick of the resolution type posts but I want to have my goals for 2018 noted here that way I can have a quick place to reference when I need a reminder. I love that a new year allows you to reflect on the past year and set goals for the new year. There were a few things that I did in 2017 that I wish to continue in 2018. But there are also a few things that I would like to work on in 2018 to push me closer to the person that I want to be and for goals I'd like to accomplish. Things I want to continue in 2018: Prep our meals for the week on Sunday Reducing considerably our meat/poultry intake Exercise Saving and budgeting money Traveling Sunday dinners with Sean and date nights Investing in real estate Working on our home Daily cleaning schedule Spending quality time with friends and family Not worrying about what people think of me and continuing to take to heart this quote, "what others think of you is none of your business" Take pictur...

Happy New Year!

Yesterday, Sean and I spent quite some time discussing and writing down what our expectations and goals are for the new year. It was nice to also see it written down on paper. It is always refreshing how a brand new year brings so much hope for what's to come and what we intend to do to get there. I feel like I'm prepared for all that 2018 will bring our way and I hope that you are too. I truly wish you all the happiest and healthiest New Year! ♥

2016 in Review.

I figured that I get this post up today before January is officially over. When I began drafting this post I thought this wasn't going to be a fun year to recap but to be honest it wasn�t entirely bad because I survived it. I cried (a lot) but I also laughed. I traveled to new places and created new memories, both good and bad. I loved on my family, friends, fur-babies and my husband. I lived. Here�s my recap of 2016; the year that nearly broke me. JANUARY Started off pretty good as I celebrated the soon arrival of my dear friend's daughter. And before I knew it I was spending 12 days in the hospital. I still did manage to keep a smile on my face. FEBRUARY When Sean's birthday rolled around, I was not allowed to drive (or lift over 10 lbs) so I reached out to my girlfriends to see if they had any ideas of what I could do at home for Sean that did not involve me driving or moving about. I was blown away when they took it upon themselves to do this for me. And Sean abs...
