Wakanda Forever!

Over the weekend, I finally got a chance to watch Black Panther with Sean. Wow, wow, WOW! The visuals were impeccable and the movie was done exceptionally well. Growing up, it was not often that I saw black women represented by society in such empowering roles; which is why I'm a strong supporter of the representation matters movement. Usually movies portrayed black women as the angry black woman. God forbid, that a black woman be strong and have an opinion without being called angry. This was not the case with Black Panther as every woman in this movie was strong, intelligent and not afraid to share her valuable opinion. I left the theatre feeling empowered and so proud. If you havent seen it, run to your nearest theatre! As for me, I intend to watch it again and again. Take all my money, Black Panther, take all my money. Sean is not into Marvel movies at all but he said that he wanted to watch history be made. And history was made because this is the first movie in elev...

My niece's birthday pawty at Billy Beez

Image
A few weekends ago, we celebrated my niece turning five years old. She loves dogs so it was no surprise that she asked for a puppy party at Billy Beez . Although, the party was held at Billy Beez my sister still made sure to add some personal touches to make my nieces party special. She could have easily allowed the facility to do it all but thats not how my sister rolls, ha. So, she took care of the cake, the cupcakes and a few other touches to make my nieces birthday pawty (get it?) a hit. Since Im all about adopting fur babies, I loved that my sister bought a bunch of stuffed dog animals and had each kid adopt one. Loved, loved that! The kids loved it too and even proceeded to name their newly adopted stuffed dogs. Billy Beez is huge and you have to keep a really watchful eye but I like that they take security very seriously and you cant just walk out with a child that you did not come in with. There are so many fun activities for the kiddos and I personally liked it...

2018 Philadelphia Auto Show

Image
OK, I'll admit it. We had every intention of not going out to eat in any restaurant for the whole month of January but we broke on January 27th. Let me explain. The weather was so nice that day and we had done extremely well with not spending money on unnecessary things, that we kinda had a treat ourselves moment. Sean loves cars and when he heard that Philly was having a auto show he insisted that we go. And well, who says no to Philly? I've never been much of a car person but this auto show quite possibly has made me one. We saw some absolutely incredible cars! We also saw a few famous vehicles from television shows from our childhoods. The ones that were of interest to us were Kit from The Knight Rider, the Scooby Doo van and the A-Team's van. I'll admit that I was pretty excited to see those vehicles in person. After checking out so many cars we got hungry so we had lunch at Jimmy G's for an amazing philly cheese steak. When in Philly ... The...
