Joy in the Everyday.

Shortly after my mom passed away I was in a slump for quite some time. It was at that time that I told myself to pay attention to the everyday details, big or small, that made me happy. Scenes from Thanksgiving 2017

I am so behind on blog posts (over one month) and no matter how hard it seems that I try I can't seem to get up to date. There were long hugs and excited shrieks, of course, and our weekend could really begin because now we were all together. We went to the 911 Memorial since it was so close to our hotel. It was a surreal experience and I kept on imagining what happened here 16 years ago. Its a beautiful tribute and if youre ever able to see it I recommend you do so. After that we went shopping because thats usually one of the things we do when we get together. And it took me back (as it always does) to our Saturdays in college when we shopped for outfits for the night. It was so much fun and well, I didnt end up buying any clothes but I did end up purc
