New Orleans: Day 1

When we told several people that we would be visiting New Orleans in August everyone said that we chose the worst month to visit as it was the hottest month of the year. Well, they were right. It was hot, humid and rainy and despite that I still loved every moment of our time in New Orleans. When we reached our hotel we were a little disappointed to find that our room was not ready but the front desk called concierge to take our luggage while we waited. If anything, the lobby was such eye candy so I didn't mind waiting and immediately dug my camera out of my bag and began to take pictures. We stayed at Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the French Quarter. When we realized our wait would be more than 15 minutes, we decided to walk outside just to explore for a little while. I made the mistake of not changing into appropriate weather attire because man, it was hot and I became a sweaty mess quite quickly. I just loved all the colors and buildings in New Orleans. Goodbye to summer.

This summer was a really great one. I was able to spend a lot of time with friends and family. There have been several favorite moments of this summer that I did not get a chance to share here. Summer tends to get busy so being behind my computer is usually the last thing I want to do, but I still want these small happenings to be documented here. Sean and I traveled to upstate NY for Luke and Danielle�s summer barbeque. I did not take any pictures but we had such a good time! If you can remember we visited them in the spring and they are finally back in their house and are so happy to be home. The following day, Colleen threw a brunch for a Pampered Chef party and I ended up buying way too many things. But if there is anything I know I�ll use, it�s kitchen stuff.
